You learn something new everyday!

The three main locations that we would possibly stay in, in Alaska, would be Anchorage, Wasilla and Fairbanks.

Wasilla and Anchorage have both options of condos (no thank you) and fun cabins to live in (yes please). Whereas Fairbanks has a majority of cabins to rent, but not just any cabins.   Dry Cabins! This means no running water. You purchase all water at stores and most of the laundromats have showers their too. So while you wash your clothes…you wash yourself! How weird? And to top it all off, most of these homes have an outhouse.

As cute as the dry cabins are…i’m not too sure about the no running water, which Matt and I suspect is because it’s too cold that far North to have water running through pipes since they would just freeze!

This is all so fascinating. Not to mention that many of the homes are connected to ski trails so that you can ski to work!
